 General Information

Nestled within the beautiful surroundings of Northern Illinois and divided by the meandering Nippersink Creek, Spring Grove is one of the fastest growing municipalities in McHenry County.  The Village’s current population is 4,978.  Years of careful planning have rewarded the Village with an increase in both commercial and light industrial development.  Increased residential developments have provided the Village with a high quality selection of housing.

Spring Grove is proud to be the home of the Annual Fourth of July Celebration and Illinois Storytelling Festival.  The Annual Fourth of July Celebration kicks off at Noon with a parade and ends with a fireworks display in the evening.  People attend both events from surrounding communities and states.

The Municipal Centre is located at 7401 Meyer Road and is open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Services offered at the Municipal Centre include building permits, notary, vehicle stickers, voters registration, and general information.
