Youth Basketball 2024

Boys and Girls will learn skills and drills appropriate with their age and ability. All children registered will receive equal playing time. 2nd – 5th grade teams will focus on fundamentals of basketball including shooting, passing, dribbling, and teamwork. 6th -8th grade teams will learn more advanced basketball skills and team concepts. Children will practice one day per week and have one game either Saturday or Sunday. League Values – • HAVE FUN! • Skill Development • Social Development – meet new friends and learn how to interact positively with others in a team environment. • Develop Good Sportsmanship – positive attitudes and attributes that can be applied to everyday life. Practice & Games •Practice will be held after 6pm. • Practices will begin the week of January 9th. • Each team will play one game per week on Saturday or Sunday. Season runs January through mid-March. • Game times may vary due to registration numbers: Team Selection: • NO REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR ANY GRADE LEVEL. • Skill evaluation (not try-outs) is run for the purpose of distributing talent as evenly as possible throughout the league. As much as we try, this is not a scientific process.
