Horse Fair Park Rentals

Residents can reserve Horse Fair Park starting Wednesday, February 1! Amenities include the indoor/outdoor pavilion with a refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, bar and picnic tables and an outdoor grill, port-a-potty, and volleyball & basketball courts with equipment.

Non-residents can reserve the Park starting Monday, February 14. Rental fees are $250 for residents, businesses and organizations, and $430 for non-Spring Grove residents, businesses and organizations. View the application and more info…

2023 Textile Recycling Events

Helping Hands Recycling will have textile recycling events throughout 2023 here in Spring Grove. The first one will be Saturday, March 4, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Village of Spring Grove’s Municipal parking lot. Watch our website and newsletter for future event dates. Helping Hands collects unwanted textiles, effectively diverting millions of pounds of clothing from landfills.

Tree Lighting Event

You’re invited to our Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Festival on Saturday, December 3 from 3:30 – 5:30 PM at Horse Fair Park. Visit with Santa, enjoy a hay ride & storytelling, crafts, refreshments and the tree lighting at 5:00 PM!

The enclosed pavilion will be heated. Free admission but please bring donations of non-perishable food and toiletry items for the food pantry.

2023 Basketball

Skills and drills This is an opportunity for 6, 7 and 8th graders to work on their basketball skills. Beginning Friday, January 13th through March, the evening will mostly consist of pick up games with some skill building instruction. Adult Basketball Come enjoy a Sunday evening scrimmaging other local adults at the Spring Grove Elementary Gymnasium. Get a good workout in and have lots of fun. 2023 Recreation Programs

GETTING EXCITED ABOUT SCIENCE

Come explore science! This workshop is a one hour class where children will be engaged, do hands on experiments and have fun! Children in grades K-2 will be learning about static electricity, light and color, make mini lava lamps and more! Children in grades 3-5 will be exploring electric circuits, electric motors, Cartesian divers and flubber!

Thursday, March 30th at the Nippersink Library. $10 residents, $15 non-residents. Grades K-2: 10:00 a.m. Grades 3-5: 11:30 a.m. View the registration flyer here.

VOLLEYBALL

These instructional volleyball classes are for beginners and intermediate players. These classes are intended to help children build knowledge and fundamental skills needed to play volleyball. Classes are March 15-April 26th at the Spring Grove Elementary School. Residents $50 Non residents $70 Grades 3-6. Click here for the registration form.

Trunk or Treat

Saturday, October 29th from 2pm – 4pm join the Community Engagement Committee at Horse Fair Park for their annual Trunk or Treat event.

There will be a costume contest at 3pm with prizes for best kids, adult, and pet costumes as well as best trunker.

Overnight Parking Ordinance

Just a friendly reminder, Village Ordinance 13/2-1307 prohibits parking on the street between 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. Signs have been posted throughout the village to remind residents and visitors of the ordinance. This ordinance covers all public village roadways. 

The police department may give temporary permission to park overnight on the street due to visitors, driveway repair, etc. Please note that the vehicle must otherwise be legally parked (not in violation of fire lanes, fire hydrants, post snowfall restrictions, etc.) 

Oktoberfest!

Join the Village of Spring Grove’s Community Engagement Committee for their first annual Oktoberfest at Horse Fair Park.  Live entertainment from Die Kenosha Musikanten, German Food from OMA’s cookbook, German beers, Stein Holding Contests, Cabbage Bowling and so much more fun!

This is a 21 and older event. Prost!
