The Village has a Franchise Agreement for residential garbage, recycling and landscape waste.
Effective January 1, 2021, Flood Brothers Disposal will provide all single family residential solid waste services for the Village of Spring Grove. Refuse, recycling, and landscape waste are all collected on a designated day, once per week. A 95-gallon refuse cart and 95-gallon recycling cart will be provided to each household at no charge. Alternate 35-gallon size is available for senior citizen residents only. Additional carts can be rented through Flood Bros. When a holiday falls on a weekday or Sunday and your regularly scheduled pickup is on or after the holiday, your pickup will be delayed by one day. If the holiday falls on a Sunday, the holiday will be observed on the following Monday. The following is a list of observed holidays:

- Christmas Day

Landscape/Yard Waste Collection
Flood Bros. offers yard waste collection from April 1 through December 1 on the same day as refuse and recycling collection. All materials must be contained in either a 30 gallon biodegradable paper bag or a standards 35 gallon reusable metal or plastic garbage container identified as “Yard Waste Only” weighing less than 60 lbs. A yard waste cart can be rented through Flood Bros.
Each household can set out up to eight (8) bags or containers each week at no charge.
“Yard Waste Only” stickers are available at the Municipal Center (7401 Meyer Road) and are free of charge.
Landscape waste, including brush and other branches four (4) inches or less in diameter, too bulky for placement into paper bags or cans may be securely tied with biodegradable string or twine, in bundles not exceeding four (4) feet in length and sixty (60) pounds in weight.

One bulk item per week will be collected to no charge to residents. Please place items which are too large for your approved refuse container at the curb. Examples of bulk items: mattresses, box springs, tables, chairs, and other furniture. If the bulk item cannot be moved by one person or is over 50 pounds, please call Flood Bros. at 630-261-0400 to schedule a special pickup.
Collection services for electronic recyclables is provided at no additional charge. Residents are asked to call Flood Bros. at 630-261-0400 24 hours prior to your scheduled collection day to schedule a pickup of no more than six (6) items per pick up. There is a $12 charge for each TV.

Christmas Tree Collection
A special free collection of Christmas trees during the month of January is provided at no additional charge.
The collection services for white goods, i.e. appliances, is provided for a fee of $12 per item. Examples include refrigerators, dishwashers, water heaters, washers, dryers, etc. Residents are asked to call Flood Bros. at 630-261-0400 24 hours prior to your scheduled collection day to schedule a pickup.
Two (2) cubic yards of household construction and demo debris will be collected each week at no additional cost. Any debris over 2 cubic yards will be charged $7.20 per yard. Construction debris must be in a container, 35 gallon cans or heavy duty black bags are acceptable and shall not exceed 50 pounds in weight.
Household Hazardous Waste
Residents can call Flood Bros. at 630-261-0400 when a possible hazardous waste material may need to be disposed of. Examples include paint, pesticides, poison, cleaning solvents, oil, gasoline, and other automotive fluids.
