Document Destruction/Textile Recycling

This Saturday, October 7th from 9:00 a.m. to noon bring your sensitive and private documents for secure, on-site document destruction.

Helping Hands Recycling* will also be on site to collect items such as clothing, small home goods, kitchen items, and toys. See a complete list below of what they will accept.

Helping Hands Recycling collects unwanted textiles effectively diverting millions of pounds of clothing from landfills, they will collect items from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

*Helping Hands Recycling is not affiliated with our local food pantry, Helping Hands Food Pantry. Please do not drop off items to be recycled at Helping Hands Food Pantry.

The event will be in the Spring Grove Municipal Centre Parking Lot located at 7401 Meyer Road.

Oktoberfest, Saturday, September 30, 2023

Join the Village of Spring Grove’s Community Engagement Committee for their second annual Oktoberfest event this Saturday, September 30th from 4pm to 9pm at Horse Fair Park

There will be live entertainment from Die Kenosha Musikanten, German Food from OMA’s cookbook, German beers including a release from Spring Grove’s own Pratt Brewing, Stein Holding Contests, Hammerschlagen, Cabbage Bowling and so much more fun! See photos from last years event.

This is a 21 and older event. FREE ADMISSION! Prost!

This is a cash only event, ATM will be on site.

Craft Beer Tasting

Buy your advance tickets at the Village Hall for the Spring Grove Community Engagement Committee’s first annual Craft Beer Tasting Event Saturday, August 5 from 3pm to 7pm. Tickets are $35 until July 31 and $45 at the door.

Nine brewers will be in attendance at Spring Grove’s beautiful Hatchery Park located at 2314 Hatchery Road. Friends of the Hatchery volunteers will be in attendance offering tours of the historic Hatchery Building.

Live entertainment by Amy Rose Music from 3:30pm to 6:30pm, food trucks on site will be 15 Lakes Mobile Bistro and Saylor Mick’s Pizza.

Parking is available at Platinum Terrain located at 7701 Blivin Street.

Independence Day Events

Monday, July 3rd, Bella Cain will be performing in Horse Fair Park at 8105 Blivin Street from 8pm to 11pm, food trucks and drinks available for purchase starting at 4pm. Parking is $15 per vehicle in Horse Fair Park and Spring Grove Park. Food trucks in attendance are: Fork n Fry, Gracies Kitchen, Hernandez Tacos, La Cocina Genoa City, MJ’s Coffee, RBBA selling Burgers and Brats, Tropical Chill, Wisconsin Style BBQ, Your Sisters Tomato. Don’t forget to stop at Pratt Brewing’s tent and try some suds from Spring Grove’s first Brewery!

Tuesday, July 4th the parade begins at noon from the area of Highview and Winn Roads and proceeds to Horse Fair Park. The festivities end with a bang at Thelen Park where Fireworks begin at dusk. Parking in all lots on July 4th is $10. Parking Passes issued for the Parade on July 4th will be honored for the Fireworks show. Parking passes from July 3rd will not be honored on July 4th.

Friday Night Fishboil Fundraiser Event

The Friday Night Fish Boil fundraiser at Horse Fair Park will be held this Friday, June 23! Live music by the Judson Brown Band from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

We will be serving all-you-can-eat boiled cod, BBQ chicken & ribs and more prepared by Fitzgerald’s Genoa Junction. Kid’s meals will be available. Beer, Wine, Pop and Water for purchase.

Purchase pre-sale express line tickets at the Village Hall until June 22nd. Food Served from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm. Silent auctions are at 7p.m., 8p.m. and 9p.m. All proceeds benefit Hatchery Park.

Kickoff to Summer

Join us for our Second Annual Kickoff to Summer event this Friday, June 2, from 4pm to 9pm at Horse Fair Park.

We have games for all ages, bounce houses, touch-a-truck, and live music with Gritman, Moran & Ryan!

Of course we also have food and beverages! Food trucks on site will be: 15 Lakes Mobile Bistro, Fork n Fry Poutine, MJ’s Coffee Bar, My Funnel Truck, Papa Saverio’s Pizza, Tropical Chill and Wisconsin BBQ. Cold drinks will be available for purchase for all ages!

Brought to you by the Community Engagement committee, our Kickoff to Summer event is a FREE event to bring our community together, there is also a Kickball Tournament.

Spring Egg Hunt


This weekend looks to be beautiful for the Easter Bunny to hop over to Thelen Park Saturday, April 8th from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Bunny will arrive at 1:45 p.m. and will be ready to take pictures with the little ones. There is plenty of parking at the Park and in the grass parking lot just north of the park. Don’t forget to bring your Basket!

If you find an egg with a special note inside, you can win a prize or fun-filled basket!

There is no charge, but please bring a non-perishable food item to help support the local food pantry. Registration is appreciated, click here.

New Recreation Department Programs!

Getting Excited about Science

Come explore science! This workshop is a one hour class where children will be engaged, do hands on experiments and have fun! Children in grades K-2 will be learning about static electricity, light and color, make mini lava lamps and more! Children in grades 3-5 will be exploring electric circuits, electric motors, Cartesian divers and flubber!

These instructional volleyball classes* are for beginners and intermediate players. These classes are intended to help children build knowledge and fundamental skills needed to play volleyball. Classes are March 15-April 26th at the Spring Grove Elementary School. Residents $50 Non residents $70 Grades 3-6.
