Kickoff to Summer

Join us for our Second Annual Kickoff to Summer event this Friday, June 2, from 4pm to 9pm at Horse Fair Park.

We have games for all ages, bounce houses, touch-a-truck, and live music with Gritman, Moran & Ryan!

Of course we also have food and beverages! Food trucks on site will be: 15 Lakes Mobile Bistro, Fork n Fry Poutine, MJ’s Coffee Bar, My Funnel Truck, Papa Saverio’s Pizza, Tropical Chill and Wisconsin BBQ. Cold drinks will be available for purchase for all ages!

Brought to you by the Community Engagement committee, our Kickoff to Summer event is a FREE event to bring our community together, there is also a Kickball Tournament.

Kickball sign-up will be limited to 8 teams with single elimination. Sign up now by emailing us at info@springgrovevillage.com. Sign up will be available at the event if teams are still available.

Farmers Market and Recycling Event

Saturday May 20th will be the first market of our Second Annual Farmers Market brought to you by the Village of Spring Grove’s Community Engagement Committee.

This years market will be held at the Village of Spring Grove’s Municipal Centre located at 7401 Meyer Road. We have twice as many vendors as last year and will be hosting Helping Hands Textile Recycling** in the Municipal Centre parking lot.

This years vendors are Annabelles Busy Beez, Ascending Lifestyle, Cake Lady of Spring Grove, Not-for-profit Cat Shelter, Crafty Creations, Double Creations, El Rancho De Marco, Eureka! Escape Games, Green Acres Honey Farm, J3 Jazzy Jewels LLC, K’s Custom Roast, Colette Klier, Mija’s Families Foods, Momma P’s Salsa, Natures Feed, Rainbow River Acres, Riverside Candle Shop, Scentsible Country Candles, SEM Illustrations, Temperance Crystals, The Hammstead Farm, Three Gardens, Wildly Rooted Floral and Wonder Farm. Spring Egg Hunt

THE EGG HUNT FOR APRIL 1st HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO APRIL 8th AT 2PM AT THELEN PARK.

This weekend looks to be beautiful for the Easter Bunny to hop over to Thelen Park Saturday, April 8th from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Bunny will arrive at 1:45 p.m. and will be ready to take pictures with the little ones. There is plenty of parking at the Park and in the grass parking lot just north of the park. Don’t forget to bring your Basket!

If you find an egg with a special note inside, you can win a prize or fun-filled basket!

There is no charge, but please bring a non-perishable food item to help support the local food pantry. Registration is appreciated, click here.

New Recreation Department Programs!

Getting Excited about Science

Come explore science! This workshop is a one hour class where children will be engaged, do hands on experiments and have fun! Children in grades K-2 will be learning about static electricity, light and color, make mini lava lamps and more! Children in grades 3-5 will be exploring electric circuits, electric motors, Cartesian divers and flubber!

Volleyball

These instructional volleyball classes* are for beginners and intermediate players. These classes are intended to help children build knowledge and fundamental skills needed to play volleyball. Classes are March 15-April 26th at the Spring Grove Elementary School. Residents $50 Non residents $70 Grades 3-6. 2023 Horse Fair Park Rentals

Residents can reserve Horse Fair Park starting Wednesday, February 1! Amenities include the indoor/outdoor pavilion with a refrigerator, freezer, oven, microwave, bar and picnic tables and an outdoor grill, port-a-potty, and volleyball & basketball courts with equipment.

Non-residents can reserve the Park starting Monday, February 14. Rental fees are $250 for residents, businesses and organizations, and $430 for non-Spring Grove residents, businesses and organizations. View the application and more info…

2023 Basketball

Skills and drills This is an opportunity for 6, 7 and 8th graders to work on their basketball skills. Beginning Friday, January 13th through March, the evening will mostly consist of pick up games with some skill building instruction. Adult Basketball Come enjoy a Sunday evening scrimmaging other local adults at the Spring Grove Elementary Gymnasium. Get a good workout in and have lots of fun. Yard Waste Collection

Flood Brothers offers yard waste collection from April 1st until December 1st on the same day as your refuse and recycling. Up to eight bundles, bags, or cans can be put out each week. There is no extra fee for this. If using cans (no larger than 35 gal.) please pick up a free Yard Waste Only sticker at the Village Municipal Center for each can.
