Parks

Village parks are open daily from dawn to dusk, except when permitted by the village, with the exception of Horse Fair, Spring Grove and Thelen Parks which are open until 10:00 p.m. Any park or any part of a park may be declared closed to the public by the village president at any time for any interval of time.

Horse Fair Park

Located at 8105 Blivin Street, Horse Fair Park has a pavilion that is available to rent for family gatherings. Amenities in the pavilion include a refrigerator & freezer, oven & microwave, picnic tables (18 under the pavilion and 12 by horse corral), bar and running water. In addition, on the grounds are an outdoor grill, gazebo, and volleyball & basketball courts with equipment for your exclusive use. Two porta potties are included. Rent from May 1 – October 31. The Spring Grove Horse Show holds horse events that are open to the public on certain days throughout the summer. Click here for rental form.

Hatchery Park

Located at 2314 Hatchery Road, Hatchery Park is a natural park area with fishing, picnicking and hiking. View the history and fundraising events here. Spring Grove Park

Located at 2102 Main Street and has baseball, soccer, and football fields, a playground and open space. There is also a special monument erected in honor of Lisa Derman, a holocaust survivor. A cutting from the Tree of Terezon was planted on May 31, 2019 by the monument. Read more here.

Thelen Park

Thelen Park is located at 8400 Winn Road and has baseball fields, football fields, a walking path and concession stand. .

Lyle C. Thomas Park and Nippersink Canoe Base

Lyle Thomas Park, located at 7816 Blivin Street, is home to one of four canoe launches/landings along the Nippersink Creek. The creek meanders around cut banks and sandbars, beneath willows and through rolling farmlands. These landings are popular take-out points for canoeists using the Nippersink, as well as quiet angling and picnic spots. Neighborhood Parks

Any group composed of 15 or more individuals is required to obtain a permit from the Village and receive approval from the Village Board to use a park. Park hours are 9:00 a.m. to dusk. View the Use Agreement for Neighborhood Parks for more information.

Breezy Lawn Park

Located at 11003 W. Riviera in Breezy Lawn Estates and has a playground, basketball court and open space.

Oak Valley Park

Located at 3006 Monterra Drive in Oak Valley Estates and had baseball, basketball, a picnic area, a playground and open space.

Orchard Bluff Park

Located at 1505 Beech Street in Orchard Bluff Estates and has basketball, a playground and picnic area.

Pauline Pierce Park

Located at 7302 Pierceshire Drive in Spring Grove Estates and has baseball, basketball, a playground & a picnic area.

Spring Dale Trails Park

Located at 9600 Bonner Lane in Spring Dale Trails and has a playground, picnic area and open space.

Wilmot Farms Park

Located at 1119 Dolder Lane in Stone Creek Crossing and has a playground, soccer field and open space
